Reply:You need to consult a vet to determine what the cause of her itching is from. It could be a wide variety of things and each would have it's own way of treating it. It could be allergies, fleas, infection, and so many other things.

Reply:Changer her diet , and be careful with the flea baths, some of them are kinda harsh....you could put on her cod liver oil, twice a day, this will relieve the itchy skin and make her coat really nice........check with your vet, he will agree..you can get it at any pet store..

Reply:before you take her to the vet i would try a dog food called wolf king. its a little pricey but worth it in the long run. the dog food help their coat and everything it has salmon in it. i had a dog that had allergies to something and she got red bumps all over her body and i bought that dog food and shes all better. her coat is really beautiful.

Reply:Does she feel oily or waxy where she is losing her hair? Could by hypothyriodism too. Only a vet will be able to tell you. The good news, the meds for this cost less than $20 per month.
Reply:But that's why you go to a vet - so you can find out what the problem is! How do you expect to be able to treat something if you don't know what the cause is?
Don't know why you had to spend $500. Depending on what flea treatment you used, your dog may well have fleas. Do you know what flea dirt looks like and how to search for it? If not, you can't be sure there are no fleas there! Also since you bathed the dog, this would have inactivated whatever spot-on you used. Also, if it was flea treatment from a pet store it won't have worked!
Sorry, but we're not going to be able to tell you what's going on here. Did the vet say she was clear for fleas? What else was suggested?

My favorite is Canidae, but there are others available at your pet supply. Innova, Wysong, Solid gold, are all excellent foods. These kibbles cost more per bag, but less per month, as dogs eat less (after the first bag) and waste less, as they are better assimilated.

I used the Clearasil 10% benzoyl peroxide thing and my skin is itchy and inflamed and puffed Help!?

If you think you are having an allergic reaction, first thing to do is wash your face good with a mild soap and warm water. Then apply some benadryl cream. It will reverse the allergic reaction by the antihistamines in the cream. If you dont want to put the cream on your face, then I would advise taking a benadryl pill for the same benefits of the allergy.

Reply:he products you are using, are they Salsylic Acid or Benzoyl peroxide? BP can be VERY drying. I personally like SA better. Salsylic acid it really good. It is in almost all acne washes. Benzoyl Peroxide is too drying for me! Try finding a face lotion with SA in it. Clean and Clear has a good moisturizer with SA and it helps keep pimples at bay. It is only about $5 a bottle and lasts about 2 months and you can get it at your local store. I have used this in the past and it works well. Personally, I use Biore products (which you get over the counter. Their products range from $5-$10). They are harsh on pimples, but not on your face.

Switch to Nuetrogena Advance Solutions its like $20 and works a lot better than any Clearasil product and even better than Proactive. Trust me I've used all of these products and nothing has worked as well as this Nuetrogena product.

When my skin did that number with me, I mixed witch hazel with hydocortizone (5%) to make a runny paste/cream and put it all over my face and let it soak for about 20 minutes then patted it off with plain witch hazel. Then I used original Oil of Olay to moisturize the skin. I did this twice a day until my skin calmed down. Benedryl water based creme can help if it is an allergic reaction.
Use something milder like Nuetrogena for the pimples, good luck, hun.

Scarlet fever.
Scarlet fever is caused by an infection with group A streptococcus bacteria. The bacteria make a toxin (poison) that can cause the scarlet-colored rash from which this illness gets its name.
Not all streptococci bacteria make this toxin and not all kids are sensitive to it. Two kids in the same family may both have strep infections, but one child (who is sensitive to the toxin) may develop the rash of scarlet fever while the other may not.

I used to live on E45 cream when I had eczema when I was younger. Hydrocortizone cream also works well on smaller areas. You've probably tried these already, but if you give them some time to work they may help you.
If all else fails you could see your doctor or a dermatologist and they might be able to prescribe something for you.
