I have had an itchy labia (skin on top) for about 2 years?

What could be the cause?

I have had an itchy labia (skin on top) for about 2 years?
yeast infection for 2 years? ouch

Reply:It could be a number of things, lice (crabs), a skin infection, skin irritation, or it might just be itchy in general. If it bothers you intensely, or it gets red or irritated, I would see a doctor.
Reply:May be a bacterial infection, or sensitive to certain fabrics and detergants.

Reply:I must admit, you are quite brave for asking that question on here... (rofl). But I think maybe it ( your labia) is just dry. Try using a thin layer of Vaseline daily. This might help. Sometimes our urine tends to dry out the skin in that area.

Reply:Do you Shave?... If you do the hair itches when its growing back so either shave daily or try waxing. If not then maybe you should try trimmin the hedges a bit. Wear cotton Panties and use moisturizer on it maybe its dry and that's causing the irritation... It could also be the soap you use. you might be allergic to it try another brand.
Reply:Dear-Jesus! 2-years and you have not asked the Doctor yet? May I ask why? I mean I know it's a personal thing, But my God, after 2 years you would think someone would have went to the Doctor by then? I know if I had an "Itchy" in my private- area, I'd be at the Doctor the same week if it didn't pass after trying a couple different things, Like changing bath-soap, laundry-detergent, etc.etc. If none of that worked off to the Doc's I go!
