What is the best cure for itchy winter skin?

I've tried several different brands of moisturizing lotion and body wash, but so far nothing stops the itching for more than a few minutes.

What is the best cure for itchy winter skin?
take a bath you filthy boy
Reply:glycerin!
Reply:Vaseline
Reply:According to my TV. Gold Bond Medicated Powder cures your worst winter itch.
Reply:i use baby oil, when you bath or shower before drying off cover your self with the oil and rub the excess water and oil in to your skin then pat yourself dry , it keeps you moisturised for hours .
Reply:Aloe and a hand/body lotion w/out alcohol (like" Keri" Lotion).
Reply:If the place where you stay is pretty cold then you can rub mustard oil on your whole body thoroughly and then take a hot water bath and this will solve your itchy winter skin problem.
Reply:Drink lots of water, you need to moisture from the inside as well. Use aloe vera gel on your skin.

Your body wash may be drying out your skin as well so you may want to change soaps to something like a glycerine soap or Dove or Ivory.
Reply:I think u should keep on putting lotion
Reply:Try any of the glycerin soaps...I used to get them at Bath and Body works. Also get more moisture into the air of your house. Use a room humidifier, add one on to your furnace, or simply put a large pot of water on your stove. If you do the water on the stove use med or med low heat, throw a few whole cloves in for a nice fragrance, and set the timer so you don't forget it's on. You want it to steam, not necessarily boil. Depending on the size of your pot let it steam for an hour or so at a time...a couple of times a day.
