Try some Benadryl, you can get it at Wal-Mart. Talk to the pharmacist there, he may be able to give you more help.
Reply:If you are allergic to your dog, I would talk to your doctor before you start taking medicines. There are tons of allergy meds you can buy over the counter, but what one is right for you? Do you really want to be taking allergy meds for the rest of your life? Sorry, having had allergies all my life, I would find another home for the dog rather than subject myself to allergy meds. They make you feel terrible!
Reply:You are definitely allergic. You will probably need a prescription allergy medicine like Zyrtec. Or even better for you-- if you could bear it-- take the dog back maybe?? You may be able to find a breed that you can live with and won't cost you $$$ in allergy medicine. If you haven't bonded with him too tightly, that may be the best option. If you can't bear to give your pooch up, ask your doc what meds (otc or otherwise)he would reccommend.
Reply:Before you get rid of your dog try taking her to a groomer and asking the groomer to bathe her with a hypoallergenic shampoo. You may not be allergic to the dog but something on her.
Reply:It is not allergy. It may be animal scabies (Sarcoptic mange).

Consult a Dermatologist.
Reply:You seem to have the same problem as my 16 year old son,

I make sure the dog gets bathe 1 or 2 times a week, wash all of you linen every week with very hot water, you bathe right away when you get the ittitation with warm water, then try to take allery medicine, Claritin, benadryl, I would suggest if it does not get controlled this way see you doctor, do that the can recommend something better or run allery test to see if you are allergic to dog hair. My son mamanges to do well like this so try it

The dogs with the least to cause allergies are Malteases or poodles because they do not create Dander under their coats.

Hope you get better

By the wat we also have 2 poodles 3 dashounds and one pit bul/boxer mix which is the the to give my sone the most allergies.
Reply:well,i know you love dogs like i do but it is a better idea to get rid of thedog.
Reply:I hate to say, but I recommend you find her a new home while she's a puppy and easy to find a home for. If your allergy is this bad now, it will only get worse with time and eventually you will probably have to find a new home for her anyway. I love dogs and hate to tell you this, but it's best to deal with it up front because a dog is a 16 year commitment and the allergy will get worse with continued exposure! (You may not have asthma yet, but over time you'd be a lot more likely to develop it.)

If you can't bring yourself to find a new home, at a minimum keep her out of the sleeping areas of the house, wear long sleeves when you are around her, dust like a maniac, get a HEPA air filter, vacuum and mop every day, air out the house often. Also, limit the dander etc by giving her her own furniture to sleep / rest on so she won't be tempted to sit where you do.
