Why does my skin get itchy after every time i take a shower?

It might just be sensitive or dry skin, but i've used tons of different kinds of soaps for that already.

Why does my skin get itchy after every time i take a shower?
I have this very same problem. I had for a while such a hard time of it that i hated to even get a bath or a shower. It has gotten better. I don't know the exact reason but I suspect that #1 we wash off all of our own natural oils and that dries out our skin

#2 there may be something in our water that we are allergic to. although that sounds amazingly funny remember they must add chemicals to our water supply and some of us are very prone to allergic reactions. It seems that in the summer time I have a more difficult time.

Good luck I hope this was helpful in some way
Reply:Chill out on the soaps and use lotion after a shower.
Reply:Probably your allergic idk. Go see your doctor!
Reply:you might have hard water, which is common among people with well water. you might just want to have it tested or something.
Reply:Use a soap with moisturizer. or you might not be getting all the soap off of you
Reply:Got to be something you're using that's bugging your skin. Could it be to do with your towel- i.e. the washing powder. Otherwise, I'd say, try not using soap- I don't use it all since it dries out my skin so much. And always moisturise straightaway after a shower. If it's bad, go to the doctor so he/she can rule out allergies.
Reply:Um, most likely you're using too much soap.
Reply:it is because your skin is dry, put some lotion on when you get out or some baby oil to reguvinate your skin so that it does not itch, if you use softner in your water and have not checked on it lately it might be time to fix that as well.
Reply:Dove makes some good soaps that are 1/4 moisturizer. Maybe try one of those bodywash liquids? Good luck with it. Ask your doctor at your next check up.
Reply:Try using an all natural soap, and a good baby oil like:

Getaguru's 100% Olive Oil soap, and Burt's Bees Apricot Baby Oil. That will help with the sensitive, and the dry part.

Most soaps have alot of chemicals that are harsh, even if they say they're for "sensitive'. Alot of times they're detergent, not real soap.

Getaguru's soap is inexpensive, and a jar of Burt's Bees lasts forever, almost. You can get the Baby oil, at drugstores, grocery stores, and even Cracker Barrel.
Reply:Use a moisturizing soap and use lotion right from the shower. Dont dry yourself with a towel just put on baby oil or vasaline.
Reply:Maybe that's the problem? Maybe your body isn't used to constant changing of soaps. Or maybe there is a specific chemical that they put in soap and shampoo that you may be allergic to. Just try different routines until somethings works for you. You can see a doctor too, but people always suggest that! And i'm sure you don't want to go to the doctors. Maybe. Good luck!
Reply:you have allergy
Reply:Happens to me too....dry skin is the problem. Cut back on the soap...
Reply:u might need to exfoliate.ud feel better after.
