Anyone have this happen to their skin? Itchy?

My husband has some sort of issue with his skin where he will start itching uncontrollably and when he does scratch, it gets gets enflamed. Pics included. If you know what this is, let me know and what you used to treat it. So far, we just use benadryl and gold bond lotion, but we need a solution.

His skin might be too dry, flaky and that can get itchy or he is sensitive to some clothing fibers (wear cotton or natural fibers, its better). Another thing can be bed mites. He should find out what sort of stuff he might be allergic to and avoid it or wash sheets more often. If you have pets, could be dander.

If he feels the itching coming on, take benadryl and rub some hydrocortizone 1-2%cream on it, you can get it over the counter. The inflamation streaks is most likely from bacteria from nails breaking the skin and body reacting. Wash the area with warm soapy water, rinse with cold and dry. Apply the cortizone cream and let is air dry. Also, If you apply ice pack to area when the itching starts it can numb it and reduce itching. Dont use heat b/c that just increases itch.
Reply:that just looks like some good sex
Reply:If you have any animals it could be a reaction to that. I don't think it is cerise's because they would be flacky. Go to the doc maybe and have him check it out. Good luck!
Reply:go to a dermatologist
Reply:Sounds like Hives (urticaria). Looks like it too. Both Benadryl and Gold Bond are pretty standard itch killers, but you can also try Aveeno Or Calimine lotion, and see if they give some relief, But if those don't help much either, it's time to hit the Doc up for some stronger stuff... Good Luck.
