Dry, itchy, flaky skin under nose - how do I get rid of it?

Its not normal winter dry skin. I have this year round. Its red and very noticeable. What can I use to make it go away?

I have had this problem myself. I was told by a pharmacist I know to use hydrocortisone cream. Its not so oily that it will cause clogged pores, but moisturizes well. I hope this helps. Also try to avoid wiping under your nose with your fingers and blow your nose when its runny and use some cream after. This really worked for me. Good luck.

Reply:Try a rich moisturizer, or use a little vasoline on that area at night( not too much). I'm not sure what your 'beauty ritual' is, but if you wash your face with a strong soap, or if you tend to peel, this could help. I have the same type of problem, and this helps me.
Reply:Try using a moisturizer on the area on a daily basis. For example, Vaseline.


If you wipe your nose a lot maybe you should try changing into a softer tissue?
Reply:extreme moisturizer, and if that doesnt work, see a dermatologist and they may say that you have some kind of rash. Or they may give you some cream that will help it.
Reply:chpstick, lotion, Mousturizers and you should probably go to the doctor and they might give you a steriod or a topical cream to use.
Reply:use a toner after u wash your face. it hydrates your skin and ever since i started using one my face it has never been dry. try one of the clinque toners they have specific kinds to match your particular skin needs
Reply:My friend had similar problem it was ECZEMA.... go to yur doc.. they can prescribe stuff to control it
Reply:before bed daily use a moisturizer with natural vitamin e in it. it will help to heal the skin.

Reply:Put E45 Cream on you sore skin. When I get a cold my nose goes like that nd s domy cheeks put some e45 on it and it will stop. ts a special cream for skin conditions!
Reply:Often that can be caused by snorting coke, so I would recommend quitting if that's the case.
