my jack was always really itchy too. I switched mine to a wheat free diet, and oatmeal shampoo and conditioner every couple weeks. It helped her tremendously.
Reply:I have a long hair Pomeranian. She get dry skin all of the time. I bathe her is an oatmeal shampoo and the I use conditioner on her. I also soak a nylon or panty hose (cut) filled with oatmeal in the tub while we bathe. After she is rinsed for the last time, I take the oatmeal sock and squeeze the juice all over her. The oatmeal helps with dry skin and itch until the next bath.
Reply:I don't know if by "natural" you mean some kind of herbal help or just not-medicinal...but if mean the latter my dog had the same problem and my vet suggested rubbing the dog down every day with Keri lotion.
Reply:Try a teaspoon a day of olive oil in her dog food for about a week or two.... it helps nurture the coat and help with nails and skin. Also, some rice can help ...same detail as olive oil. I'd try rice based dog food products.
Reply:SEE YOUR VET!

Find out what she has. Home remedies don't work on things like mange.
Reply:I have seen dog shampoos with colloidal oatmeal in them. I was also told that you can soak oatmeal in water and use that on the skin. Oatmeal has something in it that usually helps with dry or itchy skin in dogs. - animals and humans
