Get a mild soap such as Ivory and moisturizing lotion. Use this religiously and, borrowing no medical issues, you'll be fine soon.
How can i get rid of dry itchy skin, im black just moved to the uk from nigeria?
Use lotion. I recommend Dove!
Reply:The reason your skin is getting dry and itchy is because the cold UK weather is drying it out. You're not used to that.
What you need to do is to lock your skins moisture in. The best way I know how to do this is to immediately moisturize your skin when you get out of a bath or a shower. When my skin gets really bad I'll slather baby oil all over my body before I even dry off. That "locks' the moisture in. You can use any kind of moisturizer you want. I've had good luck with eucerin cream as well.
IF you wait until your skin is dry to moisturize the results won't be as good.
Reply:All the black people I know practically bathe in cocoa butter. You'll be moist and smell yummy too. I suggest Palmers.
Reply:After you shower, and before you dry off, use vaseline on your skin. It is a great protector and moisturiser for ethinc skin types.
Try it and let me know how it works. I use it on my elbows and heels.
Also, you may be clean without showering every day. Maybe shower every other day.
