My bichon frise have weird itchy spots on his skin?? bichon owners help!?

my bichon frise(well known for allergies)has weird itchy spots on his skin. particularly near his anus. its the size of large pimples%26amp;a bit red%26amp;swollen kind of. he doesnt have parasites cause i keep up with his flea%26amp;heartworm medication. i feed him nutro natural choice but i dont think its the diet cause hes had this since the food before (blue buffulo). we've gone to the vet and they tested for fungal%26amp;bacterial infection. they've shaven it%26amp;gave us antibacterial creme%26amp;antibiotic pills..but that was a few months ago..it seemed to work(his tail area and lowerback was inflamed and lots of red bumps ) the anitbiotics ended for quite a while (ive heard only a week for antibiotics or something otherwise its bad for the dog..)%26amp;we've kept up with the creme afterwards until the bumps went away. there were like one or two on his skin around the shoulder area, but we didnt put on much creme on it cause of the long fur he has%26amp;thought that the anibiotic would make it go away.. now its back.read on.

I'm not a bichon owner, but I'm so sorry to hear your doggie isn't feeling well.

Found these two link about allergies and skin issues in bichons.. maybe useful to add to your resources:

best of luck and best wishes to your sweet doggie.
Reply:Could it be a hot spot? I'm not terribly familiar with this as my dogs haven't had anything like this, but I know others who have trouble with this stuff.

Try a different food, maybe something grainless because it could be allergies. Maybe get a second vet opinion?
Reply:It sounds like he has a food intolerance, take him off all canned and dried food and introduce a raw food diet such as bravo foods.(USA)or prizechoice foods for (UK)

Wash him in a oatmeal based shampoo and use a neem oil cream for his itchy skin.

Dont use any air fresheners or sprays on him or near him, give him two omega 3,6,9 tablets daily for rest of his life introduce mashed potatoes and green beans into his diet.

Within two to four weeks his problems will be resolved .
