What heavy duty moisturer is best for very dry, red, itchy skin around nose?

Could I use hand and body lotion to my face?

Is it possible your dry, red, itchy skin is not just dry skin but eczema? Read about eczema at

If you have had this condition for a month or more, you may want to see a physician for evaluation.

Hand and body lotion usually contains chemicals, alcohols, fragrances, and dyes that can worsen some skin conditions. If it's just very dry irritated skin, choose a lotion with very few ingredients and no alcohol, dye, or fragrance. I have used Cetaphil on my face with good results.
Reply:Best to use a little bit of regular Vaseline - it stays on a long time, and if you just put on a bit, it won't be shiny. Or use Vaseline creamy - it's less greasy overall.

Yes, you can use any lotion on your face, just stay away from your eyes. Better to use a cream than a lotion, though.

Another think you can use near your nose is a chapstick - just put some of it on your finger and apply.
