What can I do for dry, scaly, itchy skin on my fingers around my rings?

Over the past couple of months, my fingers have gotten very irritated. It is only on my ring fingers where I wear my rings. I have had these rings for several years and have never had a problem before. Before anyone says it, no they are not fake. I am not using any new products, chemicals, cleaners, etc. It has gotten so bad, that I have not even been able to wear my wedding ring for almost a week. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and what I can do to treat it?

What can I do for dry, scaly, itchy skin on my fingers around my rings?
It's hard to tell when our skin is so exposed to many things around us, likewise specifically for your finger.

I will suggest that you try using Zenmend Derma or Autopalm from Skinstore.com.

Zenmend has no side effects and it's non-irritant to the skin. It's proven to works fast and it povides Maximum results! It's certainly a good lotion to prevent further

outbreaks and to manage your itchy skin.

Autopalm dry skin mlm is one of the best seller at skinstore.com now. (Skinstore.com holds more than 10,000 skin care products)It's pretty effective, and worth the

dollar paid out.

Do check this website out...
Reply:It is an allergy you have developed to the rings. You can be allergic to anything, even gold.

IF you stick your hands in water such as to wash dishes wear rubber golves.
Reply:Go to a dermatologist
Reply:try mayonnaise it really works trust me
Reply:you have probaly develed an allergic reaction to the rings, sometimes jewlers plate the rings with gold or silver and then over time the gold or silver rubs off this can also cause irritation.

it's probaly a good idea to go to a dermitoigist for some type of cream and then go to a jewler to see if they can replate your rings, if your rings were plated.
Reply:go get your rings professionally cleaned and perhaps see a dermatologist to do an allergy test on you...they probably will also be able to prescribe a cortison cream for you hands
Reply:This happened to me. (My husband hated that I couldn't wear my wedding %26amp; engagement rings.)

When I was washing my hands, I wasn't drying under the rings completely.

Make sure you remove your rings, dry completely and put hand lotion on before you put your rings back on.
Reply:I had that problem with my class ring doing that to my finger. I think it was from not drying my finger off after washing my hands. I would suggest putting lotion on it and drying off your fingers under your ring after washing your hands.
Reply:I agree with the lady before me on here.

I have an allergy to metals... and even

though they say "pure gold" there is s trace

of other metals in it.

Had the same problem as you after a few years of wearing

my gold rings...silver or platinum seem not to cause the

problems.

You could also have ingested something you were allergies to

making the "slight allergy to metal" show up.

Allergy proteins can build up in your body... one more thing can set you off.Like adding one too many cups of water to a full pitcher...

It takes up to 14 Some people longer) for an allergen to go through your system.

Try a few days of Benadryl and see if it clears up...with

not to wear the ring(s) and keep a record of what you eat and drink...then try wearing the ring(s) again..see what happens..

A "cold tar" base ointment (Es tar) works great on drying up the hives (which are the little welts/blisters).Steroid

creams (cortisone) can actually make it worse after a period of time.

A Dermatologist could be a big help too.
Reply:That is so funny I'am having the same problem right now. I went to an organic store a week or so ago and they said that is calles "house wives exzema". I have been using A%26amp;D ointment here lately. It seems to be working.
Reply:sometimes as women we will develop alergies over time i would recommend taking a clear nail polish and carefully polishing just the ring part not the diamond it will not take any value from the ring if anything it will add to it clear nail polish prevents rusting and irritation from the ring because it acts like a wall for your skin
