Did you get itchy skin when you were pregnant?

i dont believe i have that serious condition, obstetric cholistaisis, because i am not SEVERELY itchy all the time.

Did you get itchy skin when you were pregnant?
yeah - I itched. Especially when I got really "rotund". Try not to itch a dry-skinned tummy. Doing so may cause stretch marks. It happened to me ONCE! I was itching, when all of a sudden I felt a burning where I had itched. When I looked, I'll be d----- if I didn't create a stretch mark!! Some rich lotion should help, something with Vitamin E in it.
Reply:It is very normal to be itchy... just use a good moisturizer. It might not solve the problem, but it will help. It is probably from your skin stretching.
Reply:well i was never itchy when i was pregnant (i was never pregnant)
Reply:yes in early pregnancy..and now in late pregnancy. Im havin itchy skin now it is not severe but on my thighs im getting tiny bumps lookin rash/pimples.
Reply:YES! I was itchy both times. At times, it was pretty severe, other times not so bad. They say not to itch as it can cause stretch marks, but I don't think it's true. I scratched like crazy through 2 pregnancy and haven't a stretch mark on me.
Reply:I didn't but daughter did, the doc gave her some cream, she said it really worked, I tried to call her to get the name and got no answer...sorry.
Reply:hi there, its totally normal to be itchy. its just your skin stretching. just tell your midwife at your next visit just to be safe. good luck (",)
Reply:I did in one pregnancy, but I had just moved to Utah which is way drier than Illinois, so I never knew if that was why. Using extra lotion helped.
Reply:Yes itchy skin is very common if you have any concerns you should speak to your doctor. Your skin is going to stretch which will cause your skin to its using a moisteriser can give you a litlle relief and its also makes your sking feel great.
Reply:I got very itchy right about the belly button from all the stretching in the last few months. It started in about the last month REALLY bad %26amp; doesn't let up until you deliver. I asked every nurse %26amp; physician I saw--trust me, the only way to get rid of it...is to pop that baby out!
