I live with my brothers and a few weeks ago, their room was attacked by bed bugs , we sprayed and renewed the beds. Then this week my skin began to itch , leaving itchy large swellings . But I have gone thru my own bedroom and I find nothing not even a crawling insect.
I have changed everything. Do you think it could the bedbugs? But why cant I see them?
I thought I could be reacting to some food or just some new spring allegies.
Thank you. Help!
My skin is itchy and leaves also an itchy swelling , but could it be bed bugs ..?
It is probably bed bugs! Once they are in one room, they spread very quickly to all rooms occupied by sleeping humans. We just got bed bugs and had to call an exterminator in. They hide in dark corners, sometimes even in the walls, and it is not easy to get rid of them. You have to do more then just spray them and change your sheets. Reactions to bed bugs vary for each person. For me it was bites like large mosquito bites that were itchy for days. For my dad it was a rash and itchiness. For my mom and husband they hardly noticed any kind of reaction.
Reply:see your dotor you might be allergic to the spray used to kill the bed bugs
Reply:maybe allergy
Reply:Sounds like hives to me.
Could be allergies or could be from stress.
You might want to see a Dr.
Reply:Buy new bedding %26amp; cover your bed in plastic.
Reply:sounds like you might be getting a reaction to what ever you sprayed on your bedding!!--wash them again!!--don,t use too much detergent though--as soap residue will also cause a burning sensation and red marks
Reply:Bedbugs are very small... still you should be able to see something. Usually, it would look like tiny bite marks, so they may not be the culprit.
It is the time of year where people are using sunscreen... sometimes that causes an itchy rash, so you may be correct in thinking it is something else - even allergies.
Reply:It might be pioson ivy. I had that stuff all last week. It itched and itched and left what appeared to be huge ant or mosquito bites. I would recommend benadryl and either a caladryl or calamine lotion to keep it from itching so it doesnt spread.
Reply:a couple of questions, do u live near oak trees. why i ask, i ended getting skin rashes after sleeping in my sister house out in the woods in kissimmee florida. i also thought it was bed bugs but it turned out that oak trees give out this pollen in the air at night, and since she leaves the windows open at night (during the winter and spring), the pollen travels inside the house to the bedrooms.
if not it could be new allergies, or even you ight have a reaction to the laundry cleaner. the best thing for you to do if ask your doctor or even the local pharmacy what they recommended.
Reply:eczema
Reply:you need to go to the doctor and they will check it out and see what it is.. there is several different things that can cause this.. they can give you a presciptions soap and medication to stop this...i have something that it is nerves i guess and i just get a red pump and and it itches and spreads and i have been on antibiotics and special soap.. it clears up some but comes back....i notice i start getting itchy almost every day and especialy when i am nervous.. i know yours is probably not the same as this.. it could be also something like lice or well i do not remember the name of it but you need this special shampoo and soap to clear it up.. i really would just go have it checked out...you can not see this stuff at al.. you just itch all the time ...have you been around chickens or anything like that?? anyway this is what i think you should do.and the sooner you go the better.. spraying and renewing the beds does not get rid of them or their eggs...so go to the doctor.. you could try lice shampoo and lice spray for beds but i think it would be better to know where this is all coming from...
