I have patches of dry, flaky, itchy skin on my face! Very visible and embarrassing. What do I do?

This popped up about 2 days ago, and Im so aware of it whenever Im talking to anyone. Im thinking it may be stemming from this small rash I've had on my arm thorughout most of the winter, and it looks and feels the same, possibly spread by touching my arm and then my face. It's kind of in-between a rash and dry skin. Ideas??

Reply:Sounds like eczema, you will need to get it checked out.
Reply:go tot he doctors they should give u some cream for it
Reply:excema prob.

but if it is just dry skin use aveno mositurizer for body and proactiv mositurizer for face.
Reply:try aveeno facial moisturizer
Reply:i have the same thing! i put this oil stuff on it 2 times a day for like 3 days, and it completely healed. good luck. i know how you feel. =]
Reply:if its dry skin try an exoliatior [such as st.ives] or something like that. if its eczma the doctor can probably prescribe you something over the phone.
Reply:Eucerin. It is a calming cream and it works extremely well.
Reply:It sounds like psoriasis, like I have. It's skin that is growing 12 times faster than it should. My daughter has it too.It quite often goes along with some other autoimmune disease like osteoarthritis or fibromyalgia.I have it on my face, elbows, back of hands, front of my legs. The doctor prescribed Lotriderm %26amp; Dovonex Topical creams, which I put on the affected areas twice a day, right after my shower in the morning %26amp; before bed. It works really well. It cleared my face up quite well, but I found I had to be consistant with applying it , due to how fast the skin in that area grows. If you look after it , you can keep it from spreading. But, you should see your doctor, because I could be wrong about what you have. I also have it in my scalp, but a lotion I got from the doctor keeps it cleared up, as long as I use some daily after hair washing. Psoiasis is always worsein the winter because of the cold dry air. I really hope I'm wrong, but see the doctor.
