Has anyone experienced this? I am coming down with a cold that is turning into bronchitis. The strange thing is that my throat is tight and itch but so is the outside of my throat. (the outside of my body on my neck.) I have noticed this before when coming down with a simlar bug and I wondered if anyone had experience this?
Bronchitis and Itchy Skin on Neck?
While I personally have not experienced this it doesn't mean anything. However, it may indicate that you may have an allergic component to your irritation and therefore increased susceptibility to bronchitis because of it. I recommend that you talk to a specialist in either pulmonary medicine or allergy medicine. Either will know more than a general practitioner. I do sincerely hope that you are feeling better soon.
Reply:I know exactly what you mean. When I get bronchitis, especially when I haven't taken my inhaler and am having trouble breathing, my neck and chest itch on the outside. I don't think it's anything to worry about unless you get hives or some other type of skin irritation.
