Itchy skin....but no rash?

My right arm has been itching since I got up this morning, but it's only in certain places. There is no rash or redness, though! So what could it be? It's only in certain places, and it hasn't spread. It's on my upper arm, on the inside of my wrist, my thumb, and the back of my shoulder. It sometimes feels like it's burning (like a rash would), and sometimes it feels like tiny bugs (a tingling feeling). I've put Aveeno lotion on it and it doesn't help.

could be winter skin....the heat could be causing it..try using a lotion like aquaphor its supposed to help with this...if it does turn red ..use clearadryl its like calamine lotion only clear...
Reply:Well I have winter dry skin that sounds like wht you are describing. I use Olay in shower body lotion. Try it and see if it helps.
Reply:you may have winters itch try a lotion with aloe or oatmeal if it persist use some hydrocortizone that should do it!

Reply:This latest Outbreak of Cold Weather- is causing MANY of us to come down with random outbreaks of Dry Skin... Try to drink MORE Water (to hydrate yourself from the Inside- Out), put on a moisturizing lotion after you bathe, and try to keep your surroundings as COOL as you can stand it (the More you warm dry air- the drier your skin will become...).
Reply:it is most likely jsut dry skin. My daughter had really itchy skin with no rash or anything so I just got some baby wash with shea and cocoa butter, since she has been using that she has had no problems at all.
