What do I use for dry itchy skin that I get in the winter ?

Skin lotions (including Rx), and baby oil don't help.

What do I use for dry itchy skin that I get in the winter ?
I wash with Olay soap (feels like it has lotion in it) before I get out of the shower and dry off I put on baby oil, then I dry off and then I put my favorite lotion on. If you have real bad dry skin you may have eczema...if the doctor's say you don't you might want to try Gold Bond's medicated lotion it works really good.
Reply:I get really bad itchy dry skin in the winter as well. Drink lots of water. It helps hydrate the skin. Also if you are into body washes try Dove Ribbons with skin brightners(the green one) It has improved my skin amazingly. Also try hydrocortisone. Generic works pretty good. Regular lotions have alcohol in them and only irritate the skin more. Hope these help.

I'm wrong on the body wash. Someone mentioned Olay-and that's what it is. It's definitely green!!
Reply:Drink plenty of water. Don't shower or bathe in really hot water. Use a good moisturizing soap. Don't dry off when you get out but put baby oil on over the water on your skin and then get dressed.
