Any remedies for dry itchy skin tried everything on the market?
Have you seen your doctor. He will be able to prescribe something. I have dermatitis on my face and head. It itches especially in my ears
Reply:if its just a irritation then try lanacane. but if its been going on for awhile it might be more serious, something like scabies or ringworm could be the cause, so you will need medication creams from your GP or nurse. good luck.
Reply:For skin conditions see the doc or just try E45 or Aqueous cream, the latter can be used for washing and moisturising.

You can get both on prescription if you have a skin condition or you can buy both over the counter at any chemist.
Reply:sounds obvious but i have the same condition, someone suggested drinking loads of water. and it really worked.

i had to force myself and substitute my tea and coffee but i really did do the job
Reply:if nothing on the market is working go to the docs and ask them for some advice and get something on prescription
Reply:calamine lotion definetly!
Reply:I use Aquaphor and Eucerin. Both are over the counter. I do not use soap, except in essential areas. I use cold cream only on my face to clean it. Avoid hot baths and hot showers. Pat dry, do not rub.

Good luck
Reply:i know you said you tried everything, but just incase... have you tried dream cream from lush cost about £8 a tub, but is amazing.

Reply:I used to (touch wood) suffer from eczema on my face, arms and hands.

Since being advised to "moisturise from the inside" my skin has been fine for a long time. I drink 2 litres of water a day and take evening primrose oil. Maybe you could give that a try..?
Reply:E45 is supposed to be the best thing you can get for it that's not prescription only.
Reply:Makuna honey ( I think thats how it is spelt ) from New Zealand is meant to help. Take 3 spoonfuls a day and put some on your skin, wrap in cling film and leave for 20 mins. then rinse off.
