Itchy skin after sunburn?

I went kayaking this past summer and I didnt wear sunscreen on my legs, I am very pale and needless to say I was very sunburned. I had to take three advil just to sleep for the next few days. There are still blotches on my legs where the pigment is a little darker and ever since then, my legs itch constantly. I also got little itchy bumps on my calves. Could this be related to the burn?
