Any ideas on how to cure dry, itchy, flaky skin around the top and bottom of your lips?

I've had some issues with my lips for a little while now...my lips were chapped/burning/peeling/etc but they seem to be going back to normal after just letting them naturally heal. The reason I went through so much pain/burning for about a week or so now was to somehow cure my dry, incredibly itchy, burning, flaky skin above and below my lips...especially below. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make them better besides...compulsively putting on moisturizer...please let me know!! Thank you!!

exfoliate your lips and around them and also dont lick your lips!!!!

if it keeps happening i would see a doc to make sure it isn't something more serious!!!
Reply:When this happens to me, I use Vaseline petroleum jelly, I put it on at night b4 bed, and through out the day. Why do you think babies bottoms are so soft. ;)
Reply:u might be dehydrated and drinking water would help from the inside out. For temporary relief buy an aloe vera plant and cut stems open and get the pure natural gel out and rub round ur mouth
Reply:Don't use vaseline. This isn't good for you or your skin (It's petroleum and hardens skin not helps it)

Use pure and natural products Berts Bee or Arbonne -

and pure vitamin e may help more then anything.
Reply:Try using the Calendula Herbal Healing Lip Butter from bluebasins. I've been using it for a while now and it's been great. It's an all natural lip moisturizer with hempseed oil, cocoa butter and calendula oil. It also has tea tree and lavender essential oils in it. I've noticed that items like Chapstick and the such dry my lips out like crazy and I'm contantly reaching for it due to the dryness around them. This product works well because the oils used actually penetrate and moisten the lips and the essential oils heal it from cracks or what have you. I really recommed it.Or you could just buy calendula oil and put it on. It's really good for cracked skin.
