If those are the only symptoms, probably not. Try using a cream such as Vagisil to moisturize and soothe the area. If that doesn't clear it up, see your doctor.

It is something you should definitely have your doctor check out! It could just be dry skin but better safe than sorry. I have never heard of dry skin on the opening of the vagina before. Remember that they have linked HPV to cervical cancer now so you do not want to take any chances. Not saying that you have HPV, just saying that you can never be too cautious when it comes to extramarital sex these days. Please go to the doctor. Good luck!

Reply:It doesn't sound like it. Hard to say, but it sounds more like lichen planus, eczema or psoriasis.
