I have tried so many lotions and creams especially for dry skin, eg cetaphil, but none seem to help!

any ideas what I can do ??

Dry, itchy skin on legs - pls help!?
You may have eczema, it is extremely dry skin and nothing over the counter most of the time will not work. All my kids have it they use products like desinide that you need a prescription for. Talk to your doctor and see if he has a suggestion.
Reply:HI, try Aveno Baby lotion with oatmeal. It's hypo-alergenic and has no scent. It work's great!
Reply:the best thing that i have found is to take a hot shower and after washing put baby oil on, while still in the shower. the hot water opens your pores and the oil absorbs into your skin. after doing this i dont even need to use lotion anymore.
Reply:I use Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. You buy at a health food store. When I get out of the shower I rub a little in my hands to melt it (it comes in a soft solid) and then apply it to my entire body. I really helps hold the moisture in. It's really great. I started using it for dry skin(I live in Chicago) and I have fragrance sensitivities. My skin is smooth like a baby's bum.
Reply:Ooops! If it bugs you like crazy and itches at night when your bedding is making your legs warm, you probably have an allergy!

Over the counter you can buy a tube of Mylocort cream which you might want to try rubbing in (not too much at a time) after a warm bath/wash, before bed.

Pharmacists are trained to look at certain types of itches and know whether they will need a doctor's attention or not . . . give the Mylocort a try, OR find a friendly, clean, up-to-date looking pharmacy and ask to talk to the Manager, or the senior pharmacist on duty! The good news? For a pharmacist to give you advice, is FREE!!

Are you S Africa? That's where winters over and whre Mylocort is easy to find - best of luck!!
Reply:try cream
Reply:seems that your skin care product does not help. look for a moisturizer that is all natural so that it can lock in moisture effectively to the skin. keep the skin hydrated by drinking a lot of fluids. for more tips regarding dry skin care visit http://www.skinsosilky.com
